Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 : The Self-Lacing Shoe

Fulfilling every Sneaker lover’s dream Nike has officially announced self-lacing shoe called the HyperAdapt 1.0, bringing in reality the concept given by Back to the Future 2 almost 30 years ago.

“When you step in, your heel will hit a sensor and the system will automatically tighten,” explains Tiffany Beers, Senior Innovator, NIKE, Inc., and the project’s technical lead. “Then there are two buttons on the side to tighten and loosen. You can adjust it until it’s perfect.” It challenges traditional understanding of fit, proposing an ultimate solution to lacing & tension preference.

The Athlete can do swift micro-adjustments and it solves the problem of over tightening or loose laces problem for good. Precise, consistent, personalized lock-down can now be manually adjusted.

“Innovation at Nike is not about dreaming of tomorrow. It’s about accelerating toward it,” says Tinker Hatfield. “We’re able to anticipate the needs of athletes because we know them better than anybody. Sometimes, we deliver a reality before others have even begun to imagine it.”

In short Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 is the first step into the future of adaptive performance, the manual controls provides the great level of comfort with this tech-shoe.

Though the product is ready for market, it is currently available only to members of Nike+ and its available in three colors.

Researchers Fool Smartphone Fingerprint Sensors Using Inkjet Printer.

Researchers, Kai Cao and Anil K. Jain at Michigan State University have found a way to unlock a smartphone protected by a fingerprint, by using an inkjet printer. They used a special conductive ink and paper made by a company called AgIC. To unlock the smartphone the fingerprint of the user has to be scanned at a resolution of 300dpi or higher. Before printing, the image of the scanned fingerprint needs to be reversed.

The researchers used Samsung Galaxy S6 and Huawei Honor 7 smartphones for testing, and managed to unlock both of them by using this technique. As per statement of Kai Cao and Anil Jain, "Honor 7 was slightly more difficult to hack than the Galaxy S6".
How these reseachers managed to fool smartphone fingerprint? Watch in this video.
